Merchandise damaged during shipping will be the responsibility of the carrier. Please inspect packaging to assure the product has not been damaged in transit. All orders shipped by freight will arrive on palletes.

Returns will be accepted for 30 days from the day the order is placed. A return authorization must be granted by our office (555-555-5555). Returned items will be charged a 25% restocking fee in addition to return shipping [m-does this mean per order or per box?].

Directwood.com flooring is finished with a dura-ceramic coating. It is one of the most durable ultraviolet cured ceramic urethane finishes on the market. We guarantee our floors to the original purchaser for a period of 25 years under normal residential use, and provided that recommended maintenance procedures are followed.

The following will void this guarantee:

Improper installation - Floors must be installed in accordance with directwood.coms' [instructions].

Improper maintenance - Maintenance instructions must be followed. Wet-mopping will void the guarantee.

Extreme conditions - The humidity level in the home must be maintained at a 35-55% range throughout the year using air conditioners, humidifiers, or de-humidifiers as needed.

Abuse or misuse - This guarantee does not cover damage caused by stilleto heels, heavy furniture or equipment, pet-claws, pebbles, or sand.

Moisture damage - This guarantee does not cover damage caused by moisture penetration through the sub-floor, flooding, leaking plumbing, overflowing sinks, or similar moisture related damage.

Ultra-violet light damage - This guarantee does not cover damage caused by ultra-violet light. Wood products will change color when exposed to ultra-violet light.

Natural variations - Wood is natural product containing variations in tone, color and grain. We do not guarantee against natural variations within the floor, nor variations between samples and the installed floor.

Insect infestation - This guarantee does not cover any insect damage caused after the product has left the facility.
